BIO OF SKAHOTT
Who is this Skahott fellow? Well, it all started back in 1989. Or maybe it was 1988, anyways, I can't remember. But that's when I first got my NES (or was old enough to actually realize I had it) and soon became an ultimate gaming nerd. Playing games like Super Mario Brothers, Castlevania, Contra, and many others. Those were simpler times. I had always admired games and wanted to make my own someday. Next came the 16-bit era, with gems like Super Castlevania 4, Sonic the Hedgehog, and of course, Super Mario World. This is arguably the golden age of gaming, back when games didn't rely on super 4753ghz processors with full motion CG and bump-mapped Voodoo 9000 videocards or whatever to be great games. Games like Yoshi's Island, Gunstar Heroes, and Super Metroid enforced this fact even more. Then came the 32/64-bit era, we knew 2D games were being pushed to the absolute limit and it was time to make the jump to the 3rd dimmension. While some of these 3D games were good, such as Super Mario 64, and NiGHTS into Dreams, others seemed to fall short and dissapoint me, like 3D versions of the Contra and Castlevania series among others. I knew that nothing could match to the greatness of 2D, and save for a few remaining 2D games like Castlevania SOTN and Capcom fighters, they seemed to be a dying breed. The golden age of gaming has ended. Around the start of the 128-bit, (right before the launch of the Dreamcast actually...) I discovered Click and Create. With this program, I could actually make my own games! I finished my first game in 5 days: Sonic The Hedgehog Y2K. It was crap, and not recieved well by other CnCers. So then I worked a little harder and made Sonic Y2K Extreme, which was better, and became an excellent game. So I tinkered around a bit, making a few more crappy games, which brings me to now. When I dumped all my crappy projects, and decided to make a fresh start, with only one puny game (Bomberman Desktop Carnage) and another great game almost complete (Mario Adventure) I started SkahottNet. Which brings us to now, I'm still (VERY slowly but surely) making brand new games for SkahottNet, and who can tell what the future may hold?
